1. MARY – Mary is a virgin, engaged to Joseph and pregnant with the child of the Holy Ghost. The child is going to be the savior of the world. She is on the run seeking shelter.  This character must be able to sing.

2. JOSEPH – Joseph is madly in love with his fiancée, Mary who is a virgin. He is in conflict because he finds out she is pregnant. He must protect her from paparazzi who wants to ruin her reputation with lies and scandal. This character must be able to sing.

3. THUG-WORM- Thug Worm can be a male or female adult or child.  This character is a metaphor in the flesh that represents distractions and hindrances.  Deep down inside of Thug Worm is a good person who is seeking attention.   This character needs to be able to sing, dance, 4rap, and act.

4. MARAH – Marah is a mother of two preteens whose husband has left. She is struggling to survive, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. This character must be able to sing.

5. BRIANA- Briana is Marah’s 14-year-old daughter. She is a good daughter, and student.  However, she has underlined anger issue because she feels her father likes her sister Adina better and he walked out on the family. She is also very close to her aunt who finds herself hooked on drugs. This character must be able to dance.

6. ADINA-Adina is Marah’s 13-year-old daughter.  She is daddy’s little girl, her mother’s baby, and she is a good student. Despite the family issues, she remains positive.  This character must be able to sing and dance.

7. ANGELIQUE-Angelique is a sassy angel from the Heavenly’ Hood.

8.  SHENIQUA – Sheniqua is a sassy, ratchet waitress.

9. JUDAH- Judah is an intelligent law student and the son of a mom on drugs and a deceased father. The character most be able to sing.

10. RAHAB-Rahab is a flirt.   

11. DEBORAH-Deborah is a lying prophet. 

12. DINAH- Dinah is Judah’s mother, Marah’s sister, and a drug addict.

13. ELIZABETH – Elizabeth is the pregnant, spiritually zealous cousin of Mary. This character must be unyielding.

14. ALBERT- Albert is money hungry hotel owner, who thinks he has class.

15. SADIE – Sadie is money hungry hotel owner, who thinks she has class.

16. AARON/ANNOUNCER -Marah’s husband who allegedly walked out on his family. The moderator.

17. CONSCIOUS – Conscious is the voice of reasoning.

18. CHILD 1 & CHILD 2 are Rahab’s active, outspoken children.

19.  CHILD 3 & 4 (optional)Rahab’s preteens who are very outspoken.

20.  THE PASTOR’S WIFE- Classy lady.
