Surviving 8132 Backstreet follows Man-Man, a young boy who grows up in constant poverty and instability as his family moves from place to place just trying to survive. When they finally settle in Crosstown on Backstreet, Man-Man finds a sense of brotherhood among six neighborhood boys, especially with his closest friend, Cheeze. As the teens navigate street life and face tragic circumstances, Man-Man and Cheeze decide to change their paths. They commit to their education, excel in sports, and aim for college. Man-Man is determined to rise above street life and to transform the community that shaped him.
